Worth knowing about the new requirements from the Danish tax authorities
A lot of business owners have already received a message from SKAT via e-Boks about the new legal requirements. The requirements for digital sales registration come into effect on January 1, 2024. They mandate that businesses in selected sectors, including restaurants and bars, must either acquire a new sales registration system or update their existing one.
If you fail to meet the requirements when SKAT conducts an inspection, you can expect a fine of DKK 10,000 after the first visit, DKK 20,000 at the next visit, and so forth.
